MEET OUR TEAM
ABIGAIL E. PEOPLES - Founding Attorney and Owner
Abigail E. Peoples started the firm in 2009 right out of law school. Born and raised in Greensboro, she enjoys working with residents of the Triad area and beyond. She graduated from Western Guilford High School, and went on to college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill—Go Tarheels! Abigail also earned a Masters in Counseling at Regent University in Virginia prior to attending law school at the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law in Williamsburg, Virginia. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as her dog Tucker (the firm’s "Supervising Pawalegal"), and loves reading, hiking, quilting and watching movies.
Abigail brings to her practice compassion and integrity that are often hard to find in the legal world. She also has an exceptional academic record and career background that reflect her hard work and success. Abigail’s practice focuses on estate planning, estate administration, guardianships and elder law. She will be happy to discuss other topics with you to determine if she can assist you with your particular situation or to guide you to someone who can. She looks forward to talking with you about your legal needs.
KRISTEN REDMAN - Of Counsel
Kristen Redman joined the Law Firm of Abigail E. Peoples, PLLC in July 2025, bringing with her a rich and varied background in both litigation and client-centered advocacy. Before joining the firm, she helped manage a creditors’ rights practice focused on consumer federal bankruptcy matters and commercial litigation. In 2023, she made the life‑changing decision to transition into elder law and special needs planning as a solo practitioner—a shift inspired by her passion for serving vulnerable populations and her deep personal connection to the challenges families face when navigating aging, incapacity, and long‑term care.
A native of Oklahoma who grew up in the Richmond, Virginia area, Kristen earned her undergraduate degree from Roanoke College in Salem, VA, and her law degree from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, NC. Her commitment to mental health advocacy led her to serve for two and a half years on the court‑appointed Guardian ad Litem list for adult incompetency proceedings in Guilford County. Kristen’s close relationship with her grandparents profoundly shaped her career path; her Granny’s strength and compassion in caring for Kristen’s Papa during his battle with Alzheimer’s continues to guide her work. His longtime saying—“Do Good”—remains the foundation of her practice philosophy.
Kristen focuses her practice on adult guardianships, fiduciary litigation, Medicaid planning, special needs trusts, and estate administration. She loves the practice of law for the meaningful connections it allows her to build and the opportunity to guide individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult moments. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and the loyal company of her dog, Everett Leonard. Kristen looks forward to meeting you and carrying forward her Papa’s legacy to “Do Good” as she helps you navigate the road ahead.

THE OFFICIAL SUPERVISING "PAWALEGAL"
TUCKER PEOPLES
Tucker is a mini Sheepadoodle (his mom is an Old English Sheepdog and his dad is a Miniature Poodle) and weighs about 25 pounds, but when he’s really fluffy it looks like a lot more. He is 6 years old and has been coming to work at the firm since he was 10 weeks old. He loves people and especially loves his mom, Abigail. He takes his job as supervising Pawalegal seriously and spends his time around the office sleeping, greeting clients and enjoying all the attention he gets from anyone who walks in the door. He is also a registered therapy dog with NC Pet Partners with his handler Abigail. He is a busy boy!
THE OFFICIAL FIRM MASCOT AND GREETER, RETIRED
JAKE PEOPLES
Jake was a beagle, Brittany-spaniel mix who was rescued by Abigail in 2002, when he was around 2. He was a loyal companion to her for almost 13 years, and the firm's first official mascot and "pawalegal." He crossed the rainbow bridge in June 2018 and we miss him terribly!
